Registration & Admission Rules

  • The admission procedure at Shivalik Academy is friendly & transparent. Registration is the first step for seeking admission.
  • The academic year is from April to March.
  • Registration for all classes starts in the month of November. Names are registered up to 31st of January of the year, the admission is for. Registration entitles the child to appear for the school assessment test which is held in February.
  • The Registration Fee is non-refundable, regardless of whether the child sits for the Assessment Test or Not or He/ She is admitted or not.
  • All students other than those seeking admission in the Play Group, are required to appear for the Assessment test.
  • The results of the Assessment test are final. No correspondence will be entrained in case of a child who does not qualify the test.
  • Registration of names does not guarantee admission. It depends on the test result and the number of vacancies for the class.
  • Admission will be given on the basis of merit & applicant must qualify the assessment test.
  • A new student coming from another school will not be admitted unless his/her transfer certificate is produced. The transfer certificate must be duly countersigned by the inspector of school of the district/ state.
  • All the required documents must be submitted by the applicant, only after which the admission will be confirmed. Failure in producing the required documents may lead to denial of admission.

School Fee Rules

  • All school fees are payable in advance by the 10th of every month.
  • School Fees are charged for 12 months. Fees for the month of March must be paid in February, of June in May and for January in December.
  • A fine of Rs. 200/- per month will be charged if the school fee is not paid by the due date. If fee falls in arrears for more than two months from the scheduled date the student’s name will be removed from the school rolls and no re-admission shall be granted.
  • Incomplete payment of fee will be treated as non-payment of fee and will be subject to a late fee penalty.
  • If there is a regular delay in fee payment, students name will be struck off the school rolls. Parents/Guardians will then have to apply for re-admission.
  • Re- admission will be entirely at the discretion of the management and in case of re-admission fees shall be paid before such re-admission, along with the arrears including the fine.
  • Transportation Fee shall be paid for 11 months.
  • The school acknowledges every payment made to it by a duly signed receipt. Parents are requested to make sure that they receive a proper receipt for every payment they make and the school will not be responsible for payment made without proper receipts.
